Tigerstyle

I have been Djing since 1998. I first started at the age of eighteen, just playing hip-hop and drum & bass at house parties until I got into the Turntablist scene a year later.

I now have a varied style of djing. I use 3 turntables and two mixers to perform live tracks, scratch routines and also for club sets. I like my sets to be funky, original and futuristic so that I create a vibe for the crowd to be entertained musically and visually.

My main influences for performing are Q-bert, D-styles, Troubl , Rafik, Pfel and A-trak along with many other turntablists. My musical influences are artists like Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, Madlib, Prefuse 73 and many more.

I have three major world titles from 2003 (DMC Battle for Supremacy, Allies Allstar Beatdown & ITF Advancement Class). I now produce music and play out at all kinds of events for showcases and club sets.

Projects
I have co-produced a battle break record with DJ Vinyl Richie titled, Vinyl-Style Skratch Record. This is a record that is made purely for turntablists and producers. It contains a mixture of skipless scratch samples, instruments, beat-juggle and word sections. This was released in August 2003 and has sold out in shops so far worldwide.

I am currently working on a project with two other djs: DJ Pfel from France and dj crew C2C (DMC Team world champions 2003-4) and DJ Rafik from Germany and dj crew Lordz of Fitness (ITF Scratching and Advancement World champion 2004). This is to experiment a team showcase and perform live tracks using various equipment.

At present I am producing an EP, mix CD and a DVD. Also my new battle break will be out at the end of the summer 2005 and is titled Zero. I also have a website which is under construction and will be up and running mid 2005.

I have plans to work on a new project with Miss Story, a well established fire/poi dancer and visual dj from Brighton UK www.caves.tv. This project will start as of next year for a possible debut album release. We recently performed together (Flow) at Glastonbury Festival 2005 with a team of 15 artists. (Dancers, graffiti artists, visuals and circus acts) for which I provided the music for.

I am also looking to collaborate with more musicians/artists, e.g. pianists, drummers, guitarists, producers, turntablists etc to produce tracks and for live performances. I want to continue with new dj/scratch sets for competitions, showcases and music production to push turntablism as far as possible.
