DJ Swing Originally a member of the 'Live To Break' break dance crew from the early 80's touring all over the UK and Europe. When the break dance scene died down he started Djing at house parties in the late 80's, being one of the first DJs in London to play hardcore Hip-hop and new jack swing in a house as opposed to clubs Popularity grew throughout the early 90's doing parties for credible artists such as Bobby Brown, Guy, Mary J Bilge, Lennox Lewis, Jodeci in Battersea Park etc etc, etc. 3 years at Soul Kitchen established DJ Swing as the DJ all real ravers and lovers of hip hop, soul and funk wanted to listen to. He stuck to a strict policy of only playing Hip-Hop, Soul with a touch of ragga and not jumping on the jungle/drum and bass and Miami bass bandwagon of the mid-90's. His MC skills/vibes over the mic, mixing quality and ability together with his exclusive R&B/hip hop dub plates was the reason why ravers chose DJ Swing over other DJs at that time.
