SHORTEE BLITZ MOBO award-winning DJ Shortee Blitz is an urban music legend. With two weekly radio shows on Kiss FM, a role as presenter on Kiss TV, a residency at Smoove at the Ministry of Sound, a column in Hip Hop Connection, Touch and iDJ Blitz has cemented his place as one of the most influential figures in UK music. Over the past decade Blitz has performed alongside the cream of Hip Hop and R&B including Jay-Z, De La Soul, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Rock Steady Crew, The Fugees, Cypress Hill, Jeru the Damaja and Run DMC. His Sony Radio Award-winning show has attracted guests such as Busta Rhymes, Nas, Missy Elliot, Common, Roots Manuva, Ty and LL Cool J. Blitz has been Kiss FMÐs resident Hip Hop guru for the last six years. This year he was awarded his own Saturday night mix show ‘ The Blitz Power Mix and every Wednesday night he presents the äChubby KidsÐ alongside Big Ted. The Chubby Kids show made Kiss FM history in 2003 by winning the stations first Best Specialist Show award at the Sony Radio Awards. That same year he won the MOBO Award for Best UK Club DJ, securing his place as the countryÐs top Hip Hop and R&B deck innovator. Through his residency at Smoove at the Ministry of Sound and a myriad of gigs across the globe, Blitz has become synonymous with sensational cutting and mixing skills and a unique ability to tear the roof off of any venue. Shortee is also up for 2 awards at the 2005 MOBOÐs for Best UK Club DJ and Best Radio alongside cohort Big Ted for their show on Kiss 100. When heÐs not performing Blitz is presenting. He heads up the Smooth Grooves Chart Show on Kiss TV and has presented at live events such as the Princes Trust Urban Music Festival and Nike Battlegrounds.
