Laurent Fintoni

Laurent is a French/Italian, 26 years old journalist residing in London for the last 8 years. With a life long interest in music, and for the last 15 plus years an interest in hip hop and DJ culture, electronic music and scratching/turntablism, he currently writes for a variety of websites and magazines around the world on subjects covering all the above interests. He also presents the world's only radio show dedicated to the tablist artform and can be found playing records in venues around London and on internet radio.

Over the last 3 years, he has specialised in covering and exposing the turntablist scene and music to the public through his own project, the Spin Science online turntable music resource, and his role as presenter and co-admin of Turntable Radio, the world's only radio show dedicated to the tablist artform (and originally started and presented by Mr Trick). Through both of these projects, Laurent is regularly in touch with artists and tablists around the world, working to promote and spread the word about their work and music through news, interviews, articles, give aways and more. Ultimately both these projects have for sole goal to help give exposure to the artform and its practitioners, by providing fans and others with places where they can read, learn and hear about the artists and their music.

This work has led to many published articles and interviews in magazines and websites around the world, as well as the creation of the only monthly tablist news column, written alongside Mr Trick and published by Undercover Magazine in the UK and Serie B in Spain.

More recently, this work has also led him to set up a press agency (Paper Kutz) that specialises in supporting and promoting independent artists and their work.

Notable articles and interviews to date include: Pendulum (ATM), Dj Supreme (Serie B), Eurostars (Undercover), Roni Size & Bryan Gee (ATM), DJ Baku (Spin Science), Disk (Spin Science), Rob Swift (Undercover), Digital downloads (ATM), Jazzy Jeff (Undercover/Bangkok Metro), Sadat X (ukhh.com) and more.

You can find his work in the following publications:

Serie B Underground Mag (Spain)
