DodgeÕs first regular DJing gig was in 1991 at Fresh and Funky at the Borderline, Charing Cross Road, London. It was during this period that his first record deal was taking shape at Island Records under the name Dodge City Productions. A jazzy hip hop band, Dodge City Productions toured extensively all over Europe for two years straight, releasing an album in 1993 called ÔSteppin Up and OutÕ.
As a DJ and recognised record producer, the club bookings came flying in. Dodge has played in nearly every city in the UK, as well as performances across Europe in places such as Berlin in Germany, Zagreb in Croatia, Geneva in Switzerland, Barcelona in Spain, Dubai and many many more. Dodge has also held residencies at clubs like Respect at the Wag, Club Harlem and Rotation at Subterranean.
Dodge became the official resident DJ for Trevor NelsonÕs MTV Lick Parties for 5 years and was nominated for a MOBO in 1999, 2000 and 2001 as best club DJ. Demonstrating his versatility, he also earned a ÔBest UK ProducerÕ nomination in 1999. He also received an Urban Music Seminar contribution award in 2000.
Dodge has written and produced songs for a range of artists, including Damage, Another Level and Jamelia and has remixed for a number of worldwide acts including Busta Rhymes, DÕAngelo, Maxwell, Eric Benet, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu and Method Man.
He now has a monthly residency at Smoove at Ministry of
Sound and does various Smoove dates around Europe, plus
a fortnightly radio show on Smoove radio at www.ministryofsound.com
HeÕs also producing new music for his own label, Baby
Angel Recordings and producing for some new, up and coming
UK talent. For all the info on Dodge check out his website
