Adventurous programmes of creative and cultural activity funded through D.C.M.S.
Creative Partnerships develops ambitious and adventurous programmes of creative and cultural activity, explicitly focused on learning outcomes and on the aspirations of schools and their staff. At the heart of the programme is the passionate belief that everyone is inherently creative and that everyone has the right to participate in the varied and exciting culture of this country.
During the past 6 years, Punch have developed a number of pupil led projects during on youth culture and particularly focusing on issues such as inclusion, cultural belonging and diversity. As a lead partner on CP, we have worked with a cluster of five schools - Chad Vale Primary, Canterbury Cross Primary, St Georges Primary, Harborne Hill Secondary and St Paul's Girls School.
During the 6 years we have worked on the programme we have developed a number of projects, involving artforms such as percussion, film, DJing, rap, music production, poetry, singing and instrumental tuition. We have also developed work which contributes to several areas of the curriculum, including science, maths and citizenship towards the aim of a whole school change through arts activity.
