Working regionwide with some of the World's finest promoters, venues and artists, BASS was a unique opportunity for critically acclaimed artists from the Midlands, the UK and beyond to share what they're creating at the street level. The festival's not just about events - there are workshops, masterclasses, artist lounges, film screenings, seminars, new productions and exhibitions - celebrating the past and investing in the future of the scene.
2007's festival featured performances, workshops and new music from artists such as Pop Master Fabel, Goldie, Alex Blood, Henry Chalfant, Lethal B, Big Tedi, the Decypher Collective, Tempa, Wiley, Ty, Baby J, the Kray Twins and Charlie Dark, alongside some of the best young artists from the Midlands. This was a celebration of the best in music and art for and by the The Midlands.
For the first time BASS takes street culture to some of the highest profile venues across the Midlands, including the Birmingham Rep, Symphony Hall, Custard Factory and Nottingham Playhouse.
