Lineup‘DOES THE BEAT GO ON?’ is a panel discussion aimed at music teachers and students which will explore the involvement of Black Music in education.
The panel, consisting of music lecturers, educators and practitioners, will be examining the role and the relevance of Black music in formal education and discussing whether music genres such as Jazz, Hip Hop, Soul/R n B, Garage and Grime should or do get the same attention as other forms of music on the education syllabus. The floor will then open to music teachers and students to put forward their ideas on the topic, and question the panel.
