Punch and Birmingham Jazz are joining forces to present a showcase illuminating the future jazz movement exploding in our second city.
The jazz message has for a while now been flowing through the ears of Birmingham through broken beat and hip hop d.js quietly maintaining the lifeline between live jazz and club culture. Future Jazz represents this movement towards combining the eloquence of C21st jazz music with the bold musical statements of hip hop and broken beat.
This is a free event which will be attended by industry leaders representing this musical revolution. From record labels to magazines, distributors to d.js, this event will bring together and showcase the new face that is Future Jazz.
