LCB that Light Coloured Brother.
Hailing from Birmingham, LCB has been Mcing for 5 years and is one third of the infamous ‘Partnas in Krime’ crew. Originally from a grime background, he has now taken up spoken word, poetry, hip hop and r&b and has performed across the Uk and internationally, including Black Soil Festival (Amsterdam) and the Bass festival (Birmingham).
LCB at 18 has a distinctive delivery and tone, heavily inspired by the r&b and grime scene, and is excelling rapidly in his poetry work. He has of late managed to channel his talent into ways of giving back to the community and making personal progress by delivering workshops as part of the gallery 37 project and in schools with ‘Flying Start’.
LCB has also been fortunate enough to collaborate with some of the worlds most respected artists including, Polar Bear, Charlie Dark, Leo Kaye, Kwesi Johnson, Skinny Man, Flow Dan, Doctor, Ras Kwame, Black Twang, GT and Pop Master Fabel.
He is a key member of The Decypher Collective and is currently working in co-operation with Punch records and the Birmingham Rep theatre devising a new ground breaking grime theatre piece called ‘8,16,32’. This is set to tour nationally in 08.
LCB has recently made it through to the final of ‘Project Talent’ – a channel 4 talent finding programme. He is currently filming in London for the live shows so watch this space for more updates!
