Started working at the drum in brum, started working with
different communities on various arts projects, did that for a
couple of years, began organising club nights at various venues and
taking part in independent projects of his own. Has been working
for Punch for the past 4 years.
Most of the artistic work has been based around film/moving image.
Projection for 'Tru Skool Antics Tour', Post Production on short
documentary with Juice Aleem called 'Word Is Bond'.
Voluntary-wise he's helped in setting up and organising a conscious
club night called 'Inqlab', which in turn has supported charity
fundraisers eg. Bangladesh Flood Appeal at Shimla Pinks Restaurant
and a Tsunami Fundraiser organised for Saturday 5th February
2005.
In terms of Broadcast he had the opportunity to work on the BBC
Asian Network on the Adil Ray show and also be an extra and a
runner for Desi DNA (BBC 2). About to work on new programme called
'Pakistani Nights'.
Office based work has mostly comprised of PR, marketing and Graphic
Design for the Bhangra exhibition. He's made new links with media
companies locally and nationally as well as arts centres and
galleries.
He helps out with the family business which is 'Spicetime' -
manufacturers of fresh chilled and frozen recipe snacks,
meals and bakery products!!!!
